REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

URBANIKA has been involved with development and restoration projects for more than 15 years, with 25 plus residential and multifamily properties. We are currently restoring three abandoned multifamily properties (100-years old) and converting them into modern lofts, as well as developing 100 beds for student housing in Houston.

FEATURED DEVELOPMENTS

TOMBALL CITY

Our Mixed Use development in Tomball, in the fast growing Northwest of Houston, is in the epicenter of the top rated Klein School District. Bounded by the high traffic FM 2920 on the south, top housing to the West and North and the brand new Mahaffey Elementary School to the East, our development is in the prime location for continued growth thanks to our proximity to the Grand Parkway and employers like BJ Services, Baker Hughes and Exxon Mobil. Our master plan includes Hotel, Multifamily, Commercial and Single Family designated areas.

AVENUE C LOFTS

Renovated three abandoned multifamily properties, 100 year old buildings.

  • Urban, modern lofts (1 & 2 bedrooms)
  • Unique finishes and light fixtures
  • Safe, gated community

THE CHAPEL AT BROOKS CITY

The Chapel at Brooks is a three-acre mixed use development that integrates the renovated base Chapel as a shared community space with a brewery, a restaurant, independent retailers entirely built with recycled shipping containers and a farmer’s market. Anchored by the second Southerleigh Brewery, this development links the Brooks Town Center with the existing children’s park on the main thoroughfare of Sidney Brooks Drive. The Brooks Development Authority is Urbanika’s land financial partner as part of its mission to attract high end tenants while spurring economic development for the entire community.

THE QUBES UTSA STUDENT HOUSING

The Qubes at the University of Texas at San Antonio is a vanguard project on 1.4 acres consisting of 48 student housing units made entirely from recycled shipping containers. Epitomizing the urban lifestyle of sustainability conscious communities, the Qubes approach to living provides everything a student needs in an efficient layout with the convenience of an “everything is included” monthly rent. Just 5 minutes away from the fastest growing University in San Antonio, the Qubes is THE place to live in UTSA.

URBANIKA HEADQUARTERS

Urbanika’s headquarters are conveniently and centrally located in the Woodlands in a building constructed of recycled shipping containers. We are currently the only ones in Texas constructing large buildings out of recycled containers, and proven successfully with our headquarters. This building is also home to The Work Spot, a network of modern, co-work spaces for businesses big and small.

ESPLANADE AT NAVIGATION

With a deep respect for the historical character of the neighborhood and a primary focus on promoting local art and businesses, our plan is to create a design-forward environment in the heart of Houston, along the Esplanade on Navigation Blvd.

SOUTHERLEIGH BREWERY

The Southerleigh Brewery, designed by the world renowned firm GVI, serves as the anchor of the Chapel at Brooks destination development. Capitalizing on the explosive growth of the 1,300-acre Brooks campus, our partnership with Southerleigh brings a proven culinary and brewing partner to launch the Chapel. Going on four years of growing success at the Pearl, the Southerleigh brand under the helm of Chef and Owner Jeff Balfour continues to set the standard for what a fine food and brews place should be.
